TRIASSIC Period
Triassic period is characterized by the rise of the dinosaurs, turtles, crocodiles, and frogs. It is also the first phase of the Mesozoic era which is called the age of the dinosaurs. It spanned a time frame about 248- 208 million years ago. During this time the world was warm and there were no ice sheets covering the poles. Great deserts covered many inland regions. This environment was perfect for reptilian life forms.
